Sato Takeru to star in film adaptation of novel 'Sekai kara Neko ga Kieta nara'

For me to live,
something has to disappear.
If suddenly today,
Chocolate disappeared
The phone disappeared
Movies disappeared
The watch disappeared
The cat disappeared
And
I disappeared.

How will the world change, what will people gain, what will people lose. A 30-yr-old postman. With just a little time left. A cheerful devil gives me one more day of life in exchange for the things around me. And so begins 7 mysterious days of me, my cat and a cheerful devil.

When you erase something, you see its worth.
When you lose something, you realise its importance.
A deeply moving, philosophy of life entertainment.

'Sekai kara Neko ga Kieta nara' is a serialised novel written by Toho producer Kawamura Genki and distributed in LINE in 2012. The protagonist, a postman (30), plagued by a constant headache, visits a doctor and is told that he has a brain tumour and has not long to live. A devil appears before him and strikes up a bargain. His life will be extended in exchange for something in his life. In the film adaptation, Sato Takeru (25) will play the double role of both the protagonist and the devil. Miyazaki Aoi (28) will play his first love. As the phone disappears; so does the memory of his girlfriend, with the movie; his friend, the watch; his father... In this fantasy human drama, a man struggles with the conflict of erasing his own existence, or his love, friends and family.

Filming will begin in October in Hokkaido and as in the original work, in Argentina as well. The movie is scheduled to open in 2015.

Mizushima Hiro returns to acting as the Black Butler Sebastian Michaelis

Mizushima Hiro (28) is making his comeback as an actor after a 3 year absence. He will play the demonic butler Sebastian Michaelis in the live-action movie adaptation of Toboso Yana's manga 'Kuroshitsuji' (Black Butler). The enigmatic Sebastian serves Ciel Phantomhive, the young head of a noble family, bound to him by a contract. The movie adaptation is an original story set about 130 years after the manga.

Mizushima's last acting role was in the movie 'Beck' which opened in September 2010. He commented,"I do feel a little surprised about my decision to go back to acting but I came across this great piece of work and up to this moment, it's the one that has moved me..."

Kuroshitsuji's producer Matsuhashi Shinzo (MW, Paradise Kiss) said,"No one but Mizushima Hiro can play this role." He approached Mizushima one and a half years ago, got him to read the original material and met him multiple times to persuade him into taking it up. Since then, Mizushima has also contributed to writing the script for the movie. "Unlike most actors, he has been included right from the preparation stage and has also given ideas for the script," commented Matsuhashi. He hopes to style the movie in the vein of the Sherlock Holmes series, full of mystery and suspense. He promises plenty of action too and Mizushima is currently undergoing training in preparation for the crank-in.

Filming will begin in April and the movie is slated to open within the year.

Behind the scenes of 'Tsuna Hiichatta!'

Our leader Captain Chiaki (Mao-chan) and Saori (me)

Time: After everyone has taken their baths
Place: The usual dressing room
Dress code: What you wear to sleep
※ Girls only

One dressing room was cleared and we lined up cardboard boxes, laid on a tablecloth and started our hand-rolled sushi party.

On that day, the staff gave us a project. We wrote the name of our 'favourite male staff member' on paper and the voting produced a No.1 among raucous enthusiasm. Hahaha.

The movie 'Tsuna Hiichatta!' was on location for 40 days and even when filming had ended, everyone was together making a ruckus.

On our days off, we went a little further out to the sand baths of Beppu and to the onsen in Yufuin♪

The girls being together for an extended period of time, even when the director has given his OK, we would just stay put and continued chatting (*laugh*)

I was thinking that we managed to get along great in real life too (*^▽^*)

'Tsuna Hiichatta!' is doing well so we have the privilege of continuing with more promotional work ♥ Saori

HY to hold special Leap Day Event

5-member band HY will hold a live performance 'HY’s PARADE ~Leap Day “4年に一度の”Premium LIVE~' at Shibuya's Space Shower TV The Diner on 29th February. The event is a special tribute to their hit song '366 Nichi' which was the theme song for the drama and subsequently movie version of 'Akai Ito' which starred Mizobata Junpei and Minamisawa Nao.

On this day, for '366 Nichi', why don't you send out those feelings to someone precious to you?"

The event is limited to 366 people who have experienced 'a broken heart'. Tickets cost 3660 yen apiece, which includes the live performance and dinner and can be obtained from the official site through a lottery. The event will also be streamed on Nico Nico Live.

Oguri Shun wants to be that kimono guy

On 18th January, Oguri Shun attended a promotional event for the movie 'Kitsutsuki to Ame' in a kimono. The only one striding confidently onto the stage dressed in traditional wear, he remarked,"It's a new year, so I thought I'd try a change of mood too. I want to be the type of guy that people will say 'That fella is always doing stage greets in a kimono'. But since just now, everyone has been calling me Young Master. Looks like I got a little carried away all by myself. I feel a little embarrassed."

The audience got to ask the cast for advice in the 'Life Matters Discussion Corner'. A girl asked,"How do I find a love that when I think of him, tears would start to flow?" Oguri stalled and was thinking of an answer when cast member Yakusho Kouji chipped in,"You should just find an awful guy then." The audience laughed as Oguri agreed,"How do you find one? I guess that's right. Go find that awful guy." Other cast members in attendance were Furutachi Kanji, Ibu Masatou and director Okita Shuichi. Kitsutsuki to Ame opens nationwide on 11th February.
