Did Oguri Shun cheat on a heavily pregnant Yamada Yu?

It was about 10 o'clock at night, a few hours after appearing on stage to promote the 'Lupin the Third' movie. In front of a bistro, Oguri Shun, appearing a little drowsy, was surrounded by about 10 women as he bowed his head, looking like he was saying his thanks. Leaving the ladies behind, he joined Kasahara Hideyuki (31), an actor from the same agency as him, and they took a taxi together. The taxi headed towards the city center and stopped at a high-end hotel. After withdrawing some money from an ATM at a konbini in the hotel, Oguri stood at the corner of the lobby, his cap low over his eyes.

After Kasahara finished checking-in, the two of them headed straight to the elevator. 30 minutes later, two women stepped out from a white sedan, entered the hotel, stepped into the elevator and stopped on the same floor as Oguri and Kasahara did.

Oguri Shun and Yamada Yu hold their wedding reception under the blue skies of Lanai

Actor Oguri Shun (30) and model Yamada Yu (28) who registered their marriage last March held their wedding reception on the small Hawaiian island of Lanai on 5th January. The garden reception at the Four Seasons Resort Lana’i at Manele Bay was presided by Shoufukutei Tsurube and Kinashi Noritake. About 100 guests attended, including many of Oguri's former co-stars and Yamada's model friends. Reporters were at Honolulu airport where the 4 times daily flights to Lanai were boarded mainly by actors and models. Yamada's brother, Yamada Shintarou, model Nishiyama Maki and actor Koide Keisuke were approached by reporters but all revealed little about the reception. Among the guests were also Tanaka Kei, Yamada Takayuki and Inoue Mao.

In a joint statement to the media, Oguri and Yamada wrote,"We celebrated our wedding with our good friends and seniors at the beginning of the year. From now on, as we always have, we will treat our family with care and continue our work as actors."

Oguri Shun and Yamada Yu are getting married

Oguri Shun (29) and model Yamada Yu (27) are getting married. They intend to register their marriage on White Day, 14th March. Yamada is not expecting and there are no plans for a wedding ceremony yet. The couple got to know each other when they did Japanese voice-overs for the animated movie 'Surf's Up'. It was reported that both their families spent the New Year's holidays earlier this year together in Hawaii. Below is the joint statement faxed to the media on the 12th.

Oguri Shun wants to be that kimono guy

On 18th January, Oguri Shun attended a promotional event for the movie 'Kitsutsuki to Ame' in a kimono. The only one striding confidently onto the stage dressed in traditional wear, he remarked,"It's a new year, so I thought I'd try a change of mood too. I want to be the type of guy that people will say 'That fella is always doing stage greets in a kimono'. But since just now, everyone has been calling me Young Master. Looks like I got a little carried away all by myself. I feel a little embarrassed."

The audience got to ask the cast for advice in the 'Life Matters Discussion Corner'. A girl asked,"How do I find a love that when I think of him, tears would start to flow?" Oguri stalled and was thinking of an answer when cast member Yakusho Kouji chipped in,"You should just find an awful guy then." The audience laughed as Oguri agreed,"How do you find one? I guess that's right. Go find that awful guy." Other cast members in attendance were Furutachi Kanji, Ibu Masatou and director Okita Shuichi. Kitsutsuki to Ame opens nationwide on 11th February.
